JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for an experienced full-time or part-time senior accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger and preparing month-end closing procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles for analyzing financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating and managing a team of accountants and junior accountants. You will also supervise the accounting clerk in all accounting matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Undertaking business accounting and reporting with robust internal controls and corporate governance.
• Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth. Create monthly management accounts for group members covering debtors, creditors, inventory, and payroll.
• Verify and maintain financial records and other accounting documents in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for the company and assist with tax audits.
• Preparing financial statements for presentation to the key stakeholders.
• Assisting with pre-purchase business review and recordation to the Directors.
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to arrange funds management.
• Preparation of monthly or quarterly BAS statements; Maintaining accounting systems and internal controls; overseeing transactional accounting functions.
• Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits, and advising on financial matters.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger and financial reporting to include forecasts, balance sheets, revenue, and costs.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Maintaining financial and accounting software such as Xero.
• Monitor local and federal regulations.
• Train staff and team members in Xero and other accounting functions as required
• Other activities as required 

PERSON QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Finance, or a related Field
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) will be preferred
• At least 3 years of accounting experience.
• CA (CC) complete will get preference.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like Xero, FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and experience with Navision.
• Willingness to work with and for others.
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
• Accounts payable/receivable experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting software, especially in Xero (Xero Reconciliation)
• Excellent leadership, team building, facilitation, relationship building and consultation skills.
• Proven ability to drive people's agenda with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written, and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
• Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner & interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate them when appropriate & act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role.
